The Cincinnati Golf Show has come and gone. This would normally be the time where we reflect on the show and how good it was, any neat things we came across, and anything else about the trip. Well, weather played a big role this year and we couldn't make it to the show.
What geared up to be the first show of many for Bender Golf this year, quickly turned into the worst road trip in recent memory. We loaded the trailer and sent a crew on their way to show off our cool line of color golf gloves. What should have been a 5 hour trip to Cincinnati, OH turned into a 4 hour nightmare to Indiana. The roads were terrible with several vehicles off in ditches. High winds and a lot of snow made pulling the trailer very difficult. The Bender Gloves team still kept pushing through until they started sliding all over the road themselves. No show is worth risking injury, and we made the call to skip the Cincy show this year.
We talked to a few vendor friends, like Golf Dotz, that made it and said it was a good show. Some had left the night before and missed most of the weather, others weren't pulling trailers and were able to slowly make it. The turnout at the golf show wasn't as high as expected, but I have to believe the weather played a major role.
It's off to the Indiana Golf Show this weekend. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate enough for us to get there. We'll be back next week with an update.
